I retreated away for a while...I had trouble sleeping because my late work hours have tampered with my sleeping clock, which has been out of place lately.
I took the Christmas tree out today...all by myself...I took off the base and took it outside(we're talking about a 7-footer here)...unfortunately some water spilled, but I didn't mind cleaning up.
TODAY I finished reading a wonderful book entitled, "The Color of Water" by James McBride. I had read most of it over a period of time and it rested on my computer desk for months unfinished until today. It was just so sad and yet so wonderful.
I wrote a few words on a kleenex (since I happen to have a cold right now). Well here is what I wrote: A book so different that moves the soul.
I SHOULD MENTION THAT I had the pleasure of being at speech by the author of the book itself, Mr. James McBride. He was such a great person. I actually wrote what he said after I returned home. The small essay rests somewhere in my hard-drive. I will put it up later on when I write an indepth web site about myself, Kasumi, how I relate to Kasumi, and many other things that will most likely end up in a book that I have planned to write. I wrote a few pages months ago. Overtime, I have had so much more experiences and ideas that will enrich its content.
If anyone cares to borrow the book I read from the library or decides to buy it, here's the ISBN number: 1-57322-578-9
I'm actually planning to buy a new copy of it as a present for my mother. Shhh! this is supposed to be a secret ^^
Furthermore, I should mention what the first line of the book reads in the hope to motivate some of you to read it. "I wrote this book for my mother, and her mother, and mothers everywhere."
Well, after getting back to reading, I want more of it. I shall retreat again to read a book entitled, "An introduction to philosophy."
