So I'm finally driving now...it feels sorta good....today i got ticked off when someone beeped the horn at me. So I drove really fast while beeping the horn for like a block and I scared the guy out of that street. haha..i know it's kinda mean...but he ticked me off...so don't be ticking me off on the road and we'll be fine and dandy ;)

So now that we've got that out of the way I will explain how I passed my roadd test:
I arrived at the place which was 30 miles away from my house. I had to go this far because if I chose any other place then I would of had to wait like 3 months until I got the chance to take the test.
So me and my parents were waiting in the car line which was surprisingly easy to find. There was a sign that said "keep straight for roadd test." There were probably like 10 cars ahead of us. At first I thought we were going to wait for a really long time, but this wasn't the case. While we waited I took that opportunity to observe the other drivers that were being tested. The test took place at a roadd course and it took very little time to complete. At first I was worried but then I saw the same test done so many times that I had a good idea of what I needed to do. Just drive along a small curvy road for a little bit, make a stop at the stop sign, turn into a simulated parking lot, parallel park between four cones [the space provided was surprisingly big], get out of the parking space by doing a K turn, get out of the parking lot, go slowly, bear left, bear right and stop. Yup so that was what I was up against.
The line grew smaller and smaller by the minute and I saw someone taking the test in an extra large pick up truck. This was a bad move, the person should have borrowed a smaller car. I mean this pick up truck was large. The problem for the driver was ofcourse the parallel parking part. He seemed to be doing fine at the beginning but since his truck was so big, he knocked down a cone. He proceeded throught the rest of the test. I'm not sure if he was allowed to pass. Perhaps because of the size of his truck he was allowed to. I hope he passed, he was a brave driver that's for sure.
After that I saw the rest of the other people do fine. I'm pretty sure just about all them passed.
Then there was this girl and her dad infront of me. Her turn arrived and I watched her progress in the course carefully, because I was the next one. She did fine until she was asked to parallel park. I'm pretty sure that she did not attend driving school because she was not sure of how to approach this part of the test. At first she went too far back to be able to try to park. She went forward again and went for it. However in this occassion she went too far also. Even though this happened she tried to park anyway. She was getting in to park slowly but never stopped from backing up. As a result she knocked down a cone. I quote my Dad in this moment, "Now there's no excuse for her to knock that cone down, the truck driver should be given some leeway, but the size of her car does not justify her hitting the cone." I agreed with this, but I felt bad for the girl because the driving testing guy got out of the car and walked away in the middle of the course. Then he called the girl's dad and told them to go. He was yelling and things, so felt a little nervous. However, I knew that I had been thought how to park well enough not to make that mistake.

So my turn arrived and me and the driver tester sat in my car. After the previous event I was inclined to believe that all driver testers were mean. Luckily I got this really friendly guy. Right after we put our seatbelts on and we began talking. In a few seconds I knew what kind of food he liked and where he was from. Now this was a friendly guy. And I hadn't even began to drive yet. So I started it off slowly. The guy said to keep it around 5-10 mph. So I did. In the first turn I was little close to the cone, but not very close ;) So I got through the wavy turns and got to the stop sign. I remember my driving intructor specifically reafirming this point right after I went through a stop sign. Yeah I know what you're thinking, but it was in this really deserted street where hardly anyone goes. Either way I remembered that, so I looked out for the stop sign. Then the time to park arrive. I was starting to set the car to park and the conversation between us continued. I explained to him that I had to get a ride with a friend to work every day and that I had to pay for the ride. While we talked the guy named Jose, checked the little checkboxes at uncharted speeds ^^ Half the time he was more interested in talking to me. So anyway I proceeded to park. Drive in reverse until the point of the cone is half way to the second left door, turn to the right, go in reverse until a 45 degree angle is reached, turn the wheel all the way to the left, proceed in reverse while looking back, go slowly, have some hope that you're not going to knock down the cone, when you think that you're close enough to the cone stop, and go forward while straightening up the car. Pheww, the hardest part was over. Then I proceeded to make the K-turn, then drive in reverse for like 7 feet. You must remember to look back while going in reverse. I looked back but not all of the time. I have this thing that I look at the side mirrors and also look back when I go in reverse. The guy said, "just remember to always look back while in reverse, because that what the manual says." So there was no problem, we continued our friendly chat while I got ready to exit the course. I don't recall exactly what we were talking about until we stoped. Then we continued talking about who knows what while he signed the permit, etc, etc. I made sure that I asked his name before he got out because we were practically friends by the time he left. If I ever see him again we can probably chit chat for like an hour about probably nothing, but since he's so easy to talk to, "nothing" won't be a problem. Anyway then my parents congratulated me. The traditional high five was given to me by my Dad and the traditional hug came from my mom. I was happy, and I made a friend. I never knew I could do that while at the same time taking the all mighty road test. =D
